Welcome to the Somerset Centre Caravan Club Web site. If you haven’t been to a caravan rally before, a few hints on what to expect might encourage you to go. Rallying is a way to meet your fellow members or visitors and make new friends whilst visiting different parts of the country. The rally venue may be a farmer’s field, a commercial site or a place of interest. Wherever it is your first port of call is the rally officers van usually the first one you come to with a sign saying “rally officer”. The rally officer will book you in and show you where to park. The rally officer will also take the payment for the weekend. If there is a social event on Friday or Saturday evening the rally officer will inform you about it. Flag is on Sunday morning where the chairman or a committee member will say a few words about future events. As new member of the centre you can except to be called forward for a personal welcome and introduction to the centre. Drinking water is always available. All venues will have a toilet emptying point. For hygiene reason no part of the toilet may be taken to the drinking water tap. If it is a holiday rally then the same protocol will happen booking and arrival, and flag will happen at the end of the rally. So if you have been looking at our rally programme and would like to join us on a rally and you’re a member of the caravan club you will find the rally officers phone number alongside details of the pacific rally you were looking at. Simply give them a call and they will be very happy to talk to you and explain what they have planned and also how you can book onto the rally (or see the link below how to book a rally) If you cannot contact the rally officers then phone the Rally Secretary, The Chairman, or the Centre Secretary, all phone numbers are on the Contact us page of this web site and they will be only too happy to help you.
